Oh my gosh last night was soo wonderful. Tony came home with a dozen red roses and a Kim Anders balloon...I love Kim Anders!!
My mom came over to watch the girls and we were off. We hit traffic getting to Overland Park but we made it in time. Got our tickets at the box office and then were escorted to our table. I knew we had a table with another couple. Turns out they were from Omaha and were celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary...so that was cool.
The food was out of this world!! First they brought you a mixed green salad with creamy buttermilk dressing or poppyseed vinaigrette, I did the Poppyseed and on my gosh it was to die for! Then you went do the buffet and it had: Haricot verts (green beans with red peppers), Asian stir fried vegetables, baked ziti, roasted red potatoes, chorizo rice, polenta, baron of pork, tortilla crusted catfish, grilled chicken spedini, and smoked beef shoulder tender. Oh my gosh I took a little bit of everything!! Then they came around and took our dessert order to bring during the intermission. We both ordered the same thing....it was called "Chocolate with your clothes on" it was a double layered chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese filling between the layers, and then covered in a chocolate ganouse, and served with frozen chocolate wiped cream and warm caramel sauce. Oh my it too was to die for. I ate the whole thing and felt so sick after wards but it was soo worth it!! Reminded me alot of Valentine's day last year when Tony took me out to a seafood restaurant on the plaza and we got our dessert to go.
The play was out of this world. It take place on a bart train in San Fransisco and it only has the two lead players...so it is a two person play..and it was wonderful!!!! Other then coming home VERY full, almost too full. It was a wonderful dream night!!
