CHIP's

Well today was Rainbow all day.

We started off at 9:45 am at the Lodge to walk over to the NKC Community Center. We were there to work the CHIP's program (Child Identification Program). Our job was to take families from station to station.

First when a family arrived they had to fill out some paper work. This included like address, phone number, medical info. etc on their child. Then we would take them back to the first table, so they could turn in their parent permission slip and off we went. First station was the dental station. At the dental station a dental impression was taken and also the dental chip took a DNA sample from the mouth. This was then placed in a bag. From there we traveled into the processing room. In the processes room there was a person who imputed all the data on the sheet you fill out, and also took 3 photo's of the child (a frontal shot, and two profile shots). Then we took you to the finger printing station. This was done via a machine (NO INK). Then you went to the final station of printing. At this station you recieved a print out for contact info and also a copy of the finger prints. Then you also recieved a mini CD with all the data on the CD. The idea is, God forbid, you your child were missing, you can take your bag to the police. They would then have a dental impression, and a CD with all data and finger prints on it.

The program was a hit!! Last count was 125 kids went through the program and there were still more going through. The program will be repeated sometime this upcoming spring.

Tony brought the girls down and we have them done. It was funny trying to get a dental impression of Anna. But we did!

Then the Rainbow girls went to Ci-Ci's pizza for lunch and off to go bowling. We had a great time!
