Church retains property, judge rules
What can I say. AMEN! I think it is about time that members of a church voice their opinion when it comes to issues. Here we have a congregation that did not support the consecration of a homosexual bishop, voted to break away from the denomination, because of their personal beliefs.
I think this is a warning to denominations that if a congregation does not agree with issues the congregation may just not stay with the denomination. I think one of my friends summed it up great when she said: The "powers that be" that are the governing bodies of denominations need to know that if they make decisions that go against what people believe...there may be repercussions.
