Well Catherine and I did our first canning. We canned the tomatoes since I thought I had tons of. I thought I would end up with lots of jars of tomatoes, but no we only ended up with 3 pints. I did not relize how much they would cook down. It was so much fun. I peeled and cooked the tomatoes and Catherine handed me the lids out of the hot water...she loves the magnet you use to get them out.
The tomatoes took such little time that we also canned green beans. We ended up with 9 pint jars of green beans!!
