
Minnie M. Rosenboom
Funeral services for Minnie M. Rosenboom, 97, of Davenport, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 p.m. to service time at the mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.Minnie died on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.Minnie Mae Brewer was born July 29, 1909, in Montrose, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Annie Brewer. She married Fred Rosenboom on October 16, 1929, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1977.Minnie worked as a clerk for M.L. Parker Co. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church. In her younger years, she was active in Tri-L, Hannah's Circle, she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, reading, sewing and watching the 6 and 10 o'clock news.Survivors include her daughters, Dorita Eckman, and her husband, Paul, of Davenport, and Marjorie Behncke, and her husband, Larry, of Blue Grass; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Dolores Rosenboom, two sisters, one half sister, two half brothers, one grandchild, Danny, and a great-great-grandaughter, Lillian Rose.Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Good Samaritian Care Center, Davenport.The family would like to express their gratitude for the care given by Dr. Sorenson, Dr. Cecil, the Pulmonary Department at Genesis West and to her caregivers at the Good Samaritian Care Center.

I loved Minnie so much, she was the last living person in my Grandparents generation. I am so thankful that on the 8th of December she got to meet the kids and we got to see her for one last time.*
