Wow 2006 came and is about to leave us. I always heard the years fly by the older you get and boy is that TRUE! This year has been a great year over all. Like with all years there has been ups and downs but over all the year has been great.
A Nettie year in review:
January - Christopher was baptized, and my father took him around and introduced him to the soon to be "brothers" (Masons) in the church. Anna turned 18 months old.
February - Anna got her first hair cut.
March - We took all three kids to the Snake Saturday parade and the girls road on their first carnival rides.
April - Catherine served as an officer at our official visit and attended her first DeMolay Knights dance as a "big girl". Christopher turned 6 months old. Christopher went to the Precious Moments Temple. Bill and Dottie (Tony's Dad and Step Mom) came to KC to visit for Easter. Catherine ran in the CCVI Trolley Run (for the 3rd time).
May - Kids danced and learned a lot at the Greek Festival. We took the kids to the Kansas City Zoo. Catherine graduated from Kindergarten.
June - The girls went to Vacation Bible School. I went to Grand Assembly and served as State Rainbow Flag Bearer.
July - We took a road trip to Florida. Stopped in Tennessee and went to the Aquarium with Cathy and Bruce (Tony's Mom and Step Dad). Went to Gator Land, Magic Kingdom, and Daytona Beach. We saw lots of family and it was a great trip. We celebrated Anna's 2nd birthday and Pop's Birthday. Catherine went to Colorado with my parents.
August - Catherine started 1st Grade. Catherine lost her first tooth.
September - Fred and Jenny Pierce came through KC and stopped for a visit. I had my gall bladder removed!!
October - Christopher turned 1. Christopher had his first hair cut. Heather and her family came for a visit (been at least 10 years since we last saw each other). Of course there was Halloween.
November - Went to Tennessee for Thanksgiving. Catherine turned 6! Pop's and Catherine skated in the "Family Spotlight" at the KC Fall Fling and took 1st Place!
December - Went to visit family (including Minnie) in Iowa. Had been 15 years since some of us have seen each other. Minnie went to be with God. Christmas was wonderful.
Tonight we are celebrating the end of 2006 and the beginning of 2007. I pray that 2007 brings all those in the world much joy, happiness and peace.
